I will comment on your covering letter suggesting areas of improvement if necessary. I will review your synopsis/outline and make appropriate recommendations. Review the first three chapters of your manuscript and give you an honest opinion.

Characterisation:
Here I address the development of your characters, how real and engaging they are, and any holes or inconsistencies. 

Genre/readership:
I let you know what genre I think the book falls into and what readership it will reach, and I discuss any issues with either.

Plot development:
I draw your attention to inconsistencies, discuss issues in pace, movement, time or setting and suggest improvements.

Readiness:
The big one - I let you know honestly whether I think the book will be of interest to agents/publishers.  I also give clear honest advice on what you need to do to ready the text for publication - whether that means submitting the book to agents/publishers, or self-publishing.

Structure:
I review your overall plot, chapter and part structuring.

Writing style:
This may include choice of words, descriptions, sentence and paragraph structure and length, active or passive voice, dialogue, repetition, and spelling, punctuation and grammar. I also give recommendations for copy-editing and proofreading.
